“Triptych Redux” av Lewis Major Projects
Rå danseforestilling
Description:
A raw and visual performance where movement, light and design merge together.
Triptych is a dance performance with several different works that explore rhythms, emotions and what binds us together – both as people and as part of something larger. On stage are some of the company's best dancers, who deliver with both power and precision.
This is an experience that draws you in – where the inside meets the outside, and the boundaries between them are almost erased. Everything takes place in an intense interplay between dance, music and light, which builds an atmosphere that you really feel in your body.
Lighting design and visual elements are created by Fausto Brusamolino, while the music is composed by James Peter Brown.
Behind the show is Lewis Major, an award-winning choreographer and director with a somewhat unusual background – he actually started out as a sheep shearer before moving on to contemporary dance. Today, he creates performances that are both physical, original and powerful to experience.
His approach is about collaboration, curiosity and daring to try new things. Together with the artists he works with, he draws inspiration from Australian stories and expressions, creating performances that feel relevant and alive today. The goal is to help shape how dance can look and be experienced in the future.
